A brand photography session is so much more than a headshot session. These sessions showcase the one thing that makes our business stand out from everyone else, YOU!. Who are you? What do you do for fun? What makes you happy? What do you do? What are your morning rituals? These are all different types of things that can be showcased in your session.

If you’re not using brand photography to showcase these types of things in your business then you’re missing out on a ton of content and marketing material. Not sure what types of photos you need to capture during your session? Read on to learn the 6 types of images to capture during your branding photography session.

  1. Images that show you with your tools of the trade

Think about what you use to do your job ie a camera, laptop, scissors & ribbon if you’re a florist etc.

  1. You working/Behind the scenes

This is where you show yourself creating the product/service you offer. Think about where you work or where you meet clients.

3. Photos that show off your personality!!

Let’s not take ourselves too seriously. Have fun with these!!

4. Images that show your “Everyday”

Think about your daily rituals or what you like to do on the weekends

5. Classic Headshots!!

Although a branding session reflects more of a lifestyle session you still need to capture a good headshot. These are great for profile images or speaking engagements.

  1. Closeups

Now I’m not talking about closeups of you (although those can be done nicely) I’m referring to closeups of your products or maybe your hands while typing on a computer.

I hope this was helpful in giving you a good head start on planning you brand photography. Let me know in the comments what your favorite images are to capture for your brand photos.
